FAQ

Q: I’m not an Industrial Engineering student, can I still use the iLab?

A: Most other engineering students use the Innovation and Collaboration Studio (ICS) in the Zeneah Building, which is open to all engineers. However, if the ICS does not offer what you need, we are more than happy to accommodate other engineering students!

Q: How do I use the iLab?

A: Students are welcome to come by the iLab at anytime; however, it is recommended to book an appointment with an iLab attendant to guarantee someone is in the iLab to help.

Q: How many objects can I 3D print in the iLab?

A: Students are allowed to print 3 personal projects a semester and unlimited academic projects. Academic projects are anything that is used for a class on campus.

Q: How much does it cost to do a project in the iLab?

A: 3D printing is free for students! Materials for the laser engraver are provided at a small cost, unless you choose to provide your own.

Q: How much experience do I need to have to use the equipment?

A: None! All experience levels are welcome!
